Mike, I utilize the M-180's during the cooler months of the year and when things warm up here in SE Pa the 'Plinny' gets put into play. Even when biased into class 'A' it puts out less heat that the tube monos

The cruise was fun. We went last year too. This year we went on the Norwegian Escape. People who know me, know I rarely take time off. A week a year is average. So, it was nice to get away with the family. We went to St. Thomas, Tortola and Nassau. We took a 40 minute speed boat from Tortola to Virgin Gorda and did the Baths at Virgin Gorda. We spent our day on Nassau at Atlantis water park. It was pricey as hell, but fun.

Looks like fun for sure Mike, say what you want but IMO those 'modern' cruise ships are ugly as hell !

Mike,

That looks like a wonderful cruise. You hit some terrific destinations. I went down to St. Thomas on business in 2013 and stuck around for several days afterwards. The first day after the business was concluded we hit Magens Bay Beach on the North Shore of St. Thomas. It was really beautiful. The second and third days, I took the ferry over to St. John and shuttle to Cinnamon Bay. Both days I rented their fastest kayak. One day I paddled the North Shore of St. John and the next day I paddled over to Tortola, BVI. I found out later that making the crossing to Tortola was a definite no no and I was lucky no one asked for my passport. At any rate, the beaches on St. John were some of the nicest I've ever seen. The beaches on Virgin Gorda, BVI I've heard are even nicer.

Best,
Ken

Ha! What a story. The picture above on the beach was taken at Magen's Bay. We went kayaking as well, but it was absolutely hopeless with my wife who had never kayaked before and my two kids who picked the worst time to start fighting. I put four of us in a three adult kayak and with only one guy paddling (me) and the others trying to tip us over fighting (kids) or acting as dead weight (wife), it must have been a sight to see from the shore. I was lucky to get us from one side to the other on Magen's Bay without tipping over.

LOL Mike, the family in one kayak can definitely be a challenge. Glad to hear you survived.:D Magens Bay is the nicest place to paddle on St. Thomas, really beautiful. I always wanted to swim/snorkel at The Baths. I hope to get down to Virgin Gorda some day with my wife.
