Both the vacuum tubes and amp?

Anyone have any insight?

I hope everything is okay.

I just sent an email. Maybe I’ll call Thursday.

I followed it for a bit. Haven't followed it much of late since it went more into the background. I'm sure like many things, given the current state of COVID-19, things even have slowed to more of a crawl.

Response from Western Electric:

On behalf of our entire electron tube staff, we’re glad you’re interested in 300B’s.

While our pre-order functionality is not online at the moment, we are collecting necessary information to complete regular orders in the near future. We’re happy to reach out to you when our new manufacturing facility is fully operational and tubes are available. The price for one matched pair is $1499.00.

We will also keep you informed about the availability of the 91E amplifier!

Thank you for your patience as we complete the pre-production phase at our new manufacturing facility. In case you missed it, here’s the latest update. From the Rossville Works. Subscribe to our mailing list here.

This could still be a long time coming. Pre-production phase means they aren't ready for prime time yet, let alone ensuring they have quality product coming off the assembly line once production starts. Restarting a production line is not a smooth paved road which is why companies don't like to see breaks in production if at all possible. Who knows how much (or if any) tribal knowledge they have retained from the last time they were manufacturing their 300B.

That’s my worry too Mark. I’m hopeful they can make a good go of it. I’d love to hear their tubes and more importantly, the new 91E amp on my Avantgarde Duo XD.
