It’s just a quick 2-day affair in the Maritim Hotel in Bonn, but nevertheless an opportunity to check out stuff of interest. I only went there for a couple of hours.
Lansche Audio - speakers with the fabulous Ion-Tweeter.
Recently introduced, the new 3.2 version of the smallest floorstander. Upgrades include noiseless fan for tweeter, and external cross-over/ amp for semi-active operation.
This tweeter is the most immersive, detailed and fast tweeter there is. Never harsh or edgy, just really good. It is also the lightest tweeter ever built, as it has no mass at all. It consists just of an arc of light. The Ion Tweeter produces a floating layer of the finest treble.
The 3.2 is a smallish floorstander with a frequency range of 30 Hz -150 kHz. Yes, that’s correct, three times the resolution of the Magico Diamond Coated Beryllium tweeter.
