If you come across this new series on channel 76 Symphony Hall give it a listen!

This past Saturday afternoon I caught the last 20 minutes of the Premier show (though they are saying today, Dec. 1st is the premier per the web page). Mr. Perlman discusses not only musical styles but shares information about the great-fiddlers in history and their preferences for different violins and why. E.g., the differences in how to play and why the great fiddlers in history (Kreisler, Heifetz, Milstein, Stern, etc.) chose the Guarneri vs. Stradivarius due to their playing styles.

Good stuff! Twenty minutes ago when I was driving home from running into town, I wanted to head on a road trip to allow the time to listen to the show in it's entirety. LOL.

Enjoy: SiriusXM Radio

I have 27 days left on my 3 month trial that came with my new car. I have not listened to any of the classical stations but will check out 76.

Don't forget the rest of the line up for music

Thanks. I have found a handful of stations that I like. My issue is I only drive 6 miles each way for work so I don't really find the cost of the service worth it for the little time I drive. I won't renew the service unless they give me some ridiculous offer. So far I have over 5000 tracks on a USB stick, with room for another 10K which is what I will do for available music.

Good link Chris. A workmate also clued me in on this approach so I will give it a try. For them, it's just a flip of a switch and any money is money vs no money.

Never pay them their high price. Like you its rather simple it's is just a "flip of the switch" or in their case a stroke of the keyboard. Your car is already equipped, they just throttle what you can see or get. If they don't like it, see ya. My smart phone can play music.
