Silly Question regarding Frequency Response:

OK folks, this shows off my utter ignorance of audio electronics, so thanks for indulging me here.

Say I'm listening to speakers or subs that play down to 16Hz being driven by an amplifier that is rated at 20Hz-20kHz, will I be able to hear (or feel) anything in the 16-20Hz range?

Thanks in advance for any and all answers. I'll be checking the responses on and off today, but right now its time to get ready for some football!
I've just finished restoring an old Yamaha amp. On my audio analyser it's flat response from 6hz all the way to 45khz. Completely useless of course but it does at least mean that you can be sure that the bit you can hear is a flat response from top to bottom.

Absolutely magnificient tour and playing!!!

12 second reverb (the basilica itself)!

Thank you very much! Yes, I can and will do. It may take a couple days to get the time to do that however I will post something soon. FYI, it may well be on a new thread.

In the meantime, as these are limited quantity and the recordings of this relatively brand new giant organ at the Lichen Basilica are not widely known, I'd jump on these. It is an amazing instrument made of several organs playable individually or in unison (like the Freiberg Cathedral organs in Germany) and has two 32-foot stops and one 64-foot Resultant. Grab these before they disappear. This instrument, the expansive space and recording quality are all quite amazing:

* I also wound up connecting with Dr. Michal Szostak last year for some great conversations (via email). He's a professor organ performance, history, etc. and is an amazing performer as well. He has a very few recordings out, all of exceptional sonics and performance quality. Two have tracks also recorded in Lichen Basilica. All of them have various instruments of different sizes from several countries:

The only place he sells is on eBay; here is his seller page:

I have these (found for sale on his seller-page). They are wonderful and also quantity limited. The 4th is a very interesting book with CD. (The first album cover shows one part (division) of the Lichen Basilica organ and is breathtaking).

He has one other album, "Prague Impressioms" that I also have which seems to no longer be for sale.

A belated thanks for all of the information. It's been a rough patch financially for me due to some medical issues lately, so buying the CD's is not an option at this time. (Too bad, because the prices that he asks for his CD's are more than reasonable.)

Another inconvenience: I have my streamer running direct to the power amps, and I'm not wishing to put the preamp back in the system to be able to play CD's.

Always open to suggestions of music that I can stream from Qobuz.

I appreciate the education and suggestions!

First, I don’t know how well the average ear can hear below 20hz, I’m sure some can. I think frequencies that low are mainly felt by the body.

When you see a rating of 20hz to 20 khz (referring to the limits of human hearing) keep in mind that there is still energy produced above and below this range, but the db level is lower, and they filter out at a certain db loss, to quote a range. (I see 3db frequently)
Much obliged, Bones!
