Just keep Gallagher out of your shop and you should be good! I've always thought those looked like watermelons.

Off topic, but don’t those speakers need to be in the middle of the room since they are 360 degree sound radiators?

To answer Mike’s question. Yes, you should send me them to evaluate. :)

Mike, I think you won't regret it when you decide to get them.
You can start with the speakers alone, and drive them with other amplification.
You have plenty of excellent choices in your showrooms.
There is wonderful synergy of course in an all-MBL system, but I'm sure any good amp will drive them very well.
I heard their standmounts with a Burmester integrated and it was excellent as well.

1. do you have the potential customers for MBL or can you attract new clients or user segments?
2. does MBL add something to your portfolio or will it only cause cannibalization?
3. do they sound good in your demo room and what can they do that the current speakers/amps can not?
4. is there already competition in your region?
5. positive image effects for suncoast?
6. getting marketing support from MBL?
7. do the extra profits exceed the risks / investments

etc. etc.

good luck with the decision.

Bud - that's a great question. They need to have at least 31 inches from the CENTER of the speaker to any surrounding walls.

Bart - you're right, but I really don't have the right "type" of amp for the MBL's in the store. From what I can tell, they like a high power (350 watts ish or more), high current, high damping factor amp. I think the N15's will fit the bill nicely. The 101e mk2's like to be true-bi-wired (not shotgun), so I've ordered two sets of AudioQuest OAK speaker cables. You can do jumpers (need to be about 18 inches), but MBL says the true bi-wired (two sets of speaker cables equal length) sound best.

Thank you, but I'm already an MBL dealer, just trying to decide whether to bring in the big boys/electronics. I'm the only MBL dealer south of Virginia. I outlined my rational for MBL here: http://www.audioshark.org/mbl-154/mbl-111f-14236-page3.html

Not all class A and I find the MBL website difficult to navigate so forgive me that I don’t know the impedance and sensitivity, but wouldn’t the Diablo 300 have enough current at least to push them?

It does! I also tried the T+A integrated on the 111F's and the Pass X350.8. But I think the design of the MBL amps will work best.

So more likely to be a system play? Like Gryphon? (Although I love my Diablo with my Magicos).

350 watts to make these speakers come to life? If you think you have clients that like MBL and have dedicated rooms large enough to set these speakers up correctly or have really understanding wives, go for it.

350 watts into what impedence? These days 350 quality watts into 4 ohms with decent spearkers is, at least for me, fine for a medium size room (mine is very wide, 17 feet long, and quite high). Putting aside understanding wives (now that’s a variable :)) I don’t see the issue.

350 into 4 would be fine. For example, playing the 111F's at HIGH SPL's with the Pass X350.8 (700 into 4) doesn't even make the needle move.

Great re impedance. I am surprised you only need 31 inches from the wall. These speakers sound like they are a lot more practical than I thought they would be. My friend checked them out recently in Singapore and was blown away but fell for the allure of the Sonus Faber Il Cremonese. He rationalised away the MBLs saying that he thought he would need a bigger space (and his room is bigger than mine). Sounds like that perception is wrong.
