Debby, I had a blast meeting you and your family! Sophia is so cute! And I'm a cat owner. lol.

They are sounding incredible. I plan to write up a little mini-review of my upgrade experience very soon. Stay tuned :)

Congrats Marc. I was in your place last year. I upgraded from 802's. I had Mc601's driving my Sasha's with a C2300, but if you're like me, I think you'll find that McIntosh just doesn't cut the muster with Wilson. Sure it sounds pretty good, but when you hear Sasha's driven by one of the three main amp/pre combos you'll swear off all things McIntosh. Look into the Ayre MXR's, the Boulder 1060/1010 combo, or if you're spendy the 'Dag momentum stereo and pre combo. Sasha's sound sooooo much better when driven by these combos than McIntosh.

Sorry to all those McIntosh fanatics, but IMHO they just don't cut it when you get to a certain level in audiophile circles.

There is always something better, and I respect your opinion. But I am moving WAY too fast...just a few years ago I had a peachtree nova and B&W CM-7's. I've gone through 3 sets of speakers and 2 amps since then. I am going to slow down now and yes...upgrading electronics would be next. In a while :)

So far I am very happy with my 452...it drives these things with no problem, and sounds glorious. So...at this point I am not in a hurry to throw them out.

I am interested in hearing more ARC tube gear when the time comes, too. I have a lot of respect for their stuff.

Good for you Marc. There will always be something else out there. Enjoy your system and most importantly, your music. When you're ready to try something new, your friends here at AS will have no problem helping you spend your money!

As a side, the 452 is a great amp. Very perdy too!

ARC is a good choice also. I've heard the Sasha's on ARC gear; the vocals were very good, but bass was a bit lacking. But hey, that's what subs are for. Sasha's are awesome speakers. One great thing about them is that they will truly be a representation of what you put into them -- very transparent and neutral.

I too thought I'd wait a while to do any further upgrading. I lasted 3 months.

What else did you consider/demo prior to deciding?

Here you go, not the best pics. Bobvin (Bob?) Definitive did spend all day over here...Gary and Allen set them up. They were great! I replaced 802 diamonds.

Your speakers look fantastic in your room. Well done!

Regarding Definitive, I've had a long history with them, from way back in early 90's buying some "budget" gear @ the original Seattle store, to hating my treatment at the Bellevue store a couple of times. But they really have some first rate guys working there now, who love what they do and really want to please the customer. I scored my Sasha's there and recently my AMG v12 table.
