Salon 2's vs Radio C3.1

Is the reason for this level db limit to prevent the woofers from making this popping sound you guys were discussing on the Shark forum?

John

Yes. On the Dag amps - if the meters stay at or
below 100 watts - no popping.

I've heard the Salons at CES, and I found them to be a little bass shy. They were driven by all Levinson stuff in the Harman HPAV room. I found that the less expensive JBL 1400 Arrays (again driven by Levinson) sounded better to me.

I haven't had the opportunity to hear Raidho. But, I see they're hotter than chicken right out of the fryer, so I will try to hear them at CES.

Being a person that never really liked the Salon 2s, but only had heard them at various CESs. I have now heard them in a home, in a large room, they are very very good and are not bass shy.

Shows do not show real listening conditions.

I see. Well, that's cool. Fair enough. I would agree with you on that point.
