After a long wait they are finally here!!! HUGE thanks to Mike for great advice and help on this huge advancement to my system. It will be a week or two before they are in their final setup since I'm doing a little work to the listening room prior to getting them setup. But they are doing a little burn in already. Can't wait to hear the Vitus/Magico "magic" again...this time in my own space.

Impressions and more pictures soon!!

Great speaker!!!

Hallo Adam....the black mk1 are too amazing! greets from Switzerland;)

How is the M different sonically than the S5 Floyd ..?

I had both the S5 and M-Pro overlap for 8 months. I have a pretty good handle on the differences but haven't head the S5MkII so can't speak to that.

The S5 is an all around great performer. I loved it. It was on the warm side but with punchy articulate bass. It did well with every genre. The M-Pro has a different tonal balance. I would say it's between the S and Q series. Even though it has an additional woofer, my perception is that it has less bass. Let me clarify: not less LOW bass (the M-Pro has amazing 'sub' bass that is to die for), but less bass, say, in the 40-50hz 'slam' region. I emphasize that is my perception as there is also more high frequency energy with the M-Pros. There is a glorious openness and crystal clear aspect to the upper frequencies that you have to hear to believe. The S5s didn't have this.

So I could sum up by saying:
S5's : great full sounding bass and warm lower mids
M-Pros: more neutral and deeper bass with very open sounding detailed highs

Again: I've had them side by side in my room but never measured them. These are merely my perceptions.

That sounds superb. I can only imagine how good it will sound in person and can easily see why folks fall in love with the Magicos. Maybe you should have few more videos with different gears of the same song for comparison. Though its not a substitute for doing in person auditioning, it at least sets some expectation....
