RPG Modex™ Plate

Is that MEPs room or an earlier iteration of your own Dallas?

Yep, that's my room, except the LS50s are long gone as are the Def Tech BP7000SC speakers and Krell linestage and amp. And yes, I have a fair amount of room treatments. I have posted numerous photos and videos of my room over the years as I have nothing to hide.

I only posted pix of the treatments because PACMAN wanted to see some RPG. So, there many other parts not treated.
It is highly appreciated that you posted the photos: It shows us more clearly how your acoustic products are in a room, and it is interesting to see your choices (product placement etc.).
How many square feet (or in meteres) is your room?
My room is approx. 430 square feet.
Later this year, I will invest in Modex Plates (behind speakers) and other RPG products, too: Most likely Modex Edge (corner), BAD Arc (on a wall opposite to the "behind speakers" wall) and Absorbor (on the speakers' side walls). Currently, my room does not consist of any acoustic treatment products.
Attached is a photo of a Modex Plate.
The sketches are preliminary suggestions sent to me by a retailer selling RPG products.

Where is the seated position supposed to be? In the corner of the room?

My room is 14'6"x24'x9'3".

How thick will that wall behind the seated position be? Do you know which construction materials will be used with that wall?

Sorry doubl post, initial listening is extremely positive, it sounds like the sound has been cleanedKeith

If you are good I will take a photograph of the matching cushions!
I am very impressed with the sound quality though ,oddly it is the mid range that is subjectively at least improved, voices are absolutely stunning, bass is more defined ,just all good, I will measure this weel and compare to the pre Modex measurements.
The question is now of course will more panels improve further?
Keith.

Two more Modex plates arrived yesterday, I have been using REW's test tone generator to examine the 'problematic' frequencies inmy room, it has been fascinating.
A 57Hz node caused by my ceiling height, it causes a shallow band of reinforcement at floor/seating level, stand up slightly and it disappears!
Well worth experimenting ,but remember don't play the tones too loudly or you risk damaging your loudspeakers.
Keith.

Darn it! I wanted to send a picture of my Modex Plates, but I don't have enough posts. I need to get busy :D

Keith,

Have you found your pressure zones to help with the Modex Plate placement? I found mine were mostly high and at wall intersections.

Scott
