Thanks for posting pic. Awesome coverage. Can you tell what was your impression of rockport speakers? It paired with Nagra, CH Precision, Boulder, and Constellation.

Sure. I am just not a fan of Rockport’s, but that’s just me. I know they have lots of fans. It’s all good. Just not my cup of tea. I always find there to be something with them, I can’t put my finger on it, that I just don’t care for. It could be the midrange/tweeter integration or just the tweeter itself, don’t know. I took a brief survey of the four guys as we got a cab back to the airport, none were impressed with the Rockport’s in either room either. YMMV.

You want a great speaker that’s a sleeper? Tidal. Whatever those $39K Tidal speakers are, forget the model. That to me, is a superb sleeper speaker.

I won’t stay too long. I’ve heard them a few times before and unless they are suddenly wowing me, I’ll give a quick listen and leave. I’ve heard them before several times and they’re not too high on my interest level.

Tidals offshoot is VIMBERG and heard similar comments from an entire group. Looks like they have 2 models both being same design - I wonder if that was the smaller or bigger model?

I found this in the Audio Bacon site. I have the Linear Solution switch. If you use digital I highly recommend it. It makes a solid improvement over a netgear with Linear PS I was utilizing. I did not notice gains in my internal stored music, but I would not remove it based upon the solid improvement I heard in streamed and NAS playback. I find NAS playback now supersedes my internal storage. Both internal and NAS best streaming.

I quickly read thru your suggested attachment. I am not sure how much of a impact these devices will have on the SQ of our set-ups. I can say for sure switches matter. I was going crazy trying to eliminate dropouts in my set-up. These dropouts occurred with my devices connected directly to my Netgear Orbi and with a TP Link unit I had purchased. It was only when I replaced the TP Link unit with a Trendnet TEG-S50g the dropouts stopped immediately.
 
Guys I think this deserves a separate thread for further discussion. This isn't the first time I have heard of large sonic differences in basic networking appliances like switches. So much of this industry is going to the streaming and networked market.

Since two members have now asked I will give my impression. I heard the Tektons in three rooms and none of them wowed me in any way. This could have been a result of many factors but to me they just sounded like big boxes with a lot of drivers stuffed into them. This could be completely contrary to another persons view but this is why there were so many speaker models of different designs and configuration on display at RMAF. Different likes for different types.
