RMAF 2016 Official Pictures Thread

I at least can't identify a lot of these components without captioning (I did manage on this one LOL)

That is the new Voss Audio gear and Acoustic Zen Speakers. The gear is really beautiful in Carbon Fiber with copper accents. The line stage and phono stage are battery powered.

Mike, as I think back this may have been the most memorable sound I heard at the show. I was able to finally spend some time there Sunday morning before heading to the airport. One track was some classical music played on the smaller turntable and it was amazing. So perfectly clear in all ranges. I'll bet the would sound great without the subs too. I'm no vinyl fan but that was about as good as I have heard orchestral music played. Compared to some systems at ~$62k for the speakers and ~$62k for the amps a bargain! cough, cough.

I would have a hard time arguing and that's why the Vandy 7 room was my second pick overall. The sound struggled on Friday, a little better Saturday as Richard tried to integrate his new subs. But by Sunday, I couldn't pull myself away. I think I even managed to mutter a few times "damn that Ken is lucky".

Too bad I didn't return - I only heard them Saturday morning and they didn't seem very open/dynamic. Sounds like they changed considerably!

I'm eager to hear new Canton Reference with Alum-Ceramic-Tungsten drivers. Very handsome speakers.

Likewise here.

Thanks Mike for all the pictures and video coverage. Great job!

Do you mind sharing thoughts on how the Canton room sounded?

Thanks.

Canton was paired with an Esoteric Integrated and an Esoteric SACD player. The Canton tweeter has definitely improved and overall the sound was good. I didn't get the price on them. But I would "value" them in the $10-20k range.
