RMAF 2013 Pictures

Joe, you know how much we both love the Klipsch sound !!

Volti is Klipsch done right.

The "best of show" so far? Volti Audio Vittora's. It's not even close.

I knew it!

Amazing play by play of the show!!!

Thanks Mike. :)

I've been eyeing the Volti for a while now. But soooooo big!

Let's see - Volti or Accuphase?

I think I know :)

Volti with Viva SET amps. Heaven.

I've never heard Viva.

Joe and I have been talking about the Volti for some time now. It's nice to know that they sound that good !!

Ears Nova in the city carries Viva, you should go and hear it, beautiful Italian SET gear.

Leave it to us Italians - beautiful women, cars, and now SET gear :)

Mark,

Sometimes we need to trust our gut.

You should have included me in on that conversation - or were you all just looking to see if I came to the same conclusions on my own? ;)

Thinking of their sound kept me up last night. Damn!

Mike,

Your thoughts so far are similar to mine. I'll have to visit the Volti room again.

You must visit the Wilson room at the Hyatt. The XLFs with the Thor Hammers are super impressive. They are playing a good variety of music including some yet to be release DSD music engineered by Dave Wilson. The front end is DCS Davinci played through VTL and wires by Transparent. This is a treat.

Jeff Rowland's gear is in a number of rooms. I spoke with him yesterday. Told me that he uses Revel Salons to voice his equipment (did you hear that Mark?). The 625, 725 as well as the new 825 and 925 look great. The 825 is at the Lawrence Audio and Joseph Audio rooms making some pretty nice music.

The Wilson Alexias are sounding very nice with Doshi. Best I've heard them sound. No, I have not heard them with ARC or DAG.

Crowds and demos are smaller than last year but still a great show to visit.

I agree Mike. I'm heading back to the Volti Vittora room first thing to put them through their paces. But when I played ACDC, after Diana Krall, after Alison Krauss, I was sold. Talk about having to be honest with yourself. Horns? Horns? Seriously? No honkiness - which is what floored me.

Please go again today - sit in the sweet spot - and let me know what you think. Be honest!

Today will be the test of the speakers for me. I want to hear bass speed, my high frequency tests, etc.

Alexia's with Dag are 20-40% better than with either the VTL or Doshi IMO - but the Doshi bettered the VTL.

Agree on the Rowland gear. Black, black backgrounds. Very musical.

Hats off to James & Co. Bryston speakers are the real deal! Fast. Musical. Wonderful soundstage depth and width.
