The Eagles are my favorite rock band. I grew up listening to their music. I can't believe Glenn is gone, he always had so much energy and attitude. He was such a driving force in the band. RIP Glenn. Suddenly, I feel very old.

Sad news indeed. We've lost a great composer and musician. The Eagles are my favorite band. Hotel California will be in my head forever.

I am not too thrilled that Stereophile-Robert Deutch has written an article kind of dumping on the Eagles music complaining that it has been played to death and can anyone really listen to it anymore. Fact is: one of the most
successful bands of our era which means many many millions bought the music. Which says to me that many many millions liked or loved it.
But, more importantly, it just seems a little cold to be critiquing the music on the death of one of the founding members.
