Replacement Tubes for 12AX7 -12AU7?

Thanks George, everyone that speaks of them say they are a spectacular power tube...when they work. Unfortunate you got burnt but I suppose at least they didn't take out your amplifier. The EAT PDF on the tube manufacturing process is pretty cool & I would splash if I knew they were as reliable as the Gold Lions are in the MC2301. Even though the Mac has Power Sentry circuits, tubes have still be known to take out an amp.

Steve again I did buy mine used and if you buy new they do still come with a 6 month warranty. It's possible (if you could buy from Eat directly) they could match them for the Mac's plate and Grid 1 voltages.

Are your Gold Lion KT88's original or the Russian reissue? The reissue is a fine tube for the money.
