After a 20+ yr hiatus I am back in the hobby and trying to get back up to speed! I started my journey about six months ago by purchasing new Parasound JC-1 monoblocks driving B&W 802 Diamonds. Within a few weeks of seeing the 802's I had to have them. The pre-amp is a Classe CP-800 which I am very happy with.
Also put in the Oppo 105, Mac-Mini, Sonos Connect and a basic Pro-Ject turntable. I used extensive sound treatments in my 12x16 listening room to tame the B&W 802's with mixed results. I used sound panels on the walls and Aurelex wave lens diffusers on the ceiling with QRD 6" deep diffusers on part of the back wall and corner bass traps on the front wall. If I can figure out a way of posting pictures I'll put up a couple of pic.s.
I started out with much more enthusiasm than knowledge and experience and boy am I learning. Experience is what you get when you are looking for something else to paraphrase Mark Twain.
I have been reading posts on this forum for a few months now along with What's Best and wanted to say hi. I'll post a new acquisition on the Raidho forum. Hi to all and I have learned much from the various members here.
