Any thoughts? I think this might be a better shoot out than the Alexia. $20k more, but then again, Alexia was less than D3.

I'm a D3 owner thinking about making the switch. Been really impressed with the Lansche.

Sincerely happy to have you on board. The D3 are amazing speakers.

Well...I've owned the D3's and now Alexia's. I'm VERY happy with my decision. Let your ears decide - not the "if it costs more, it must be better" thought.

mike you switched from d3 to alexia? really interesting! i'm not surprised. the d3's have a hard time with maximum SPL and dynamics. they let you know quickly when they've been pushed to hard (95db). Alexia's probably lose a bit of the transparency but provide more realistic dynamic expression.

I heard both many times and IMO Alexia's are not loosing anything
Gaining is the word I would choose when I compared them both to each other
Wilson behaves calm on low db but if you pushed them they will give what your asking, undeniable pleasure !!!!!

Like Mike said, let you ears do your work

nonetheless, proposing a new question! i'm curious how folks think the lansche compares.

Once I get near a computer, I will give a proper response to your questions. May I know your first name and where you live (country)?

Welcome and I've heard the Lansche but so long ago that I'm not sure how accurate this is.

It was at a show and they didn't stand out as one of the best. So with that memory I would say the D3s would have it. As long as their volume isn't an issue.

not looking for alexia comparisons on this thread. happy to have those conversations on the alexia thread! hahah. feel your love though! really just asking about raidho d3 vs. lansche on this thread. my name is david hyman. i'm the founder of MOG and former CEO of gracenote. linkedin me...

Well David, I guess you have a little more time on your hands these days. ;). I heard the Lansche at a show and they didn't wow me - but show conditions are usually not ideal. I would ask what amp you are using with your D3's? I regret not trying a Constellation amp with the D3's before selling them.

It is my opinion that the weakness of the Constellation (weak bass, great woofer control via damping factor) cancels out the weakness of the D3's (mid bass bump and woofer popping) and MAY in turn create a unified strength.

Great to see you here David. Hope to hear more about Pono and Chosen from you here at the shark!
Chris

MOG, the music service online? ...I don't know Paul; us Canadians it seems that we're always missing some.

...Same for cell phone providers (we get nailed pretty good with the highest rates in the world), and other stuff.
It's like Canada is not far behind Brazil and Mexico in living in the prehistoric ages as compared to the U.S.A.
Plus we get Rob Ford and Justin 'The Biebs'. ;)

Welcome David (hyfry)! :)
