Have you updated your OS to 'Sequoia' ?

I remember a prior update that turned into a nightmare, glitches, slowdowns, etc.

Hi,

I waited quite a while to upgrade from Sonoma, since I have a lot of audio (DAW and plug-ins) software that need updates and qualification for new versions of macOS. Since the upgrade a few months back, it has been rock solid and no issues to report.

macOS upgrades are dependent on the Mac model you are running and any software that may need updates/upgrades. Historically, older Macs have a "soft limit" on the version they can upgrade to, since the oldest ones still supported may not work well with any new functions, or simply don't have enough hardware power to run the latest macOS smoothly.

Cory, thank you ! I have read the Sequoia info page and all looks good for my iMac, fingers crossed.....

When a new OS is released, I typically wait no more than a week to upgrade to the newest version. My thinking is that one week is more than enough to hear the feedback (good or bad) about the update. Upgrading is also important for security reasons as new versions often contain security fixes for previous versions.
