Hello everyone, in the end I decided to buy the Lumin D2. The truth is very happy, I had the chance to listen for a while and I loved it. A question to those who know, how do I turn off the Lumin? with the button to turn on / off? or there is another way that I do not realize. Thank you. Greetings.

As far as I know, you can't completely turn it off.
It only goes into standby which you can do by using the Lumin app.
If you want to turn it off you will have to remove the plug from the socket.

I always run my Lumin players with the display off and unit always on. The little gear icon in the Lumin app allows you to turn it off but like was said above, I think it’s more of a sleep/standby function. It would take a while to come back to life and sound great from a complete shutdown.

Thats what I do also

My first post. I was wondering the same thing. I have a Lumin D2 on order and should be here next week. I'll be paring it with a McIntosh MA252 integrated amp.

I like it a lot! I've only had it about 2 weeks and have used it to play a few CDs with my Oppo 203. I'm really looking forward to using the Lumin to stream Tidal hifi.

Friends foreros I have 2 more questions about the Lumin D2.
1. The equipment is a little hot, this will not cause any damage?
2. I have an external disk connected to the Lumin, someone explains to me how to find my music files, because I can not find the way to access the disk.
Thank you. Greetings.

Excellent! You will love the D2.

Is the D2 in an enclosed cabinet? Anything on top of it?

The external disk needs to be in a certain format.
USB storage, flash drive, USB hard disk (FAT32, exFAT, NTFS and EXT2/3)

Gracias por la rápida respuesta, el formato del disco es NTFS. Ariba of the D2 es libre como 15 cm, en la aplicación del Lumin no comparto nada del disco, es Spotify, Tidal, Cube y radio.

Thanks for the quick response, the format of the disk is NTFS. Ariba of the D2 is free like 15 cm, in the application of the Lumin I do not share anything of the disc, it is Spotify, Tidal, Cube and radio.

The format of the disk is correct. You need to point to it in the Lumin app so it can see what's on the disk.

Can you hold your hand on the D2 or is it too hot?

Can you open the front to get air flowing through?

I'd be concerned there is too much heat build up in the cabinet.

No me quema, no es tanto Joeinid, solo se puede decir que está un poco caliente, el disco externo está formateando a FAT32, lo intentaré. Muchas gracias. Saludos.

It does not burn me, it's not so much Joeinid, you can only say it's a little hot, the external disk is formatting FAT32, I'll try. Thank you. Greetings.

Good luck!

Then don't worry.

About the USB disk, there is a section in the app that will point to the music on your disk. It's very easy to find in the gear icon. Please look around and let us know if you find it.

Then I stay calmer because of the hot :) On the disk there is nothing like I see in YouTube about the application I see a folder type icon (I think that's it) but on my tablet (samsung) is not that icon. Right now I'm formatting my disk to FAT32 to test it.

[h=5]Getting started:[/h]
  • Turn all devices on, including LUMIN and your music server.
  • Open the LUMIN App.
  • LUMIN App will automatically detect your devices.
  • Confirm your choice of server by tapping it.
  • LUMIN App will find all your music and store all the artwork. Note that on the very first use of the App, this can take some time (approximately 250 albums per minute).
