I have a VTI Audio Stand. The one with four legs and cherrywood shelves. As for looks, they are extremely elegant and nice. As for quality, they leave much to be desired. The framing is quite good and sturdy and the modular design is hard to beat. That's what sold me. However, the shelves are far too delicate. They will scratch if you just look at them funny! To me this is unacceptable in a product costing $300 or $400.
The only reason I didn't get a Salamander is because they did not have a configuration the right size and the prices are prohibitive at the time. Now days Salamander has some good shelving at a more reasonable price, but I don't feel like replacing my VTI because it's working and I can't sell it or anything.
