Yea I got one too. They are average as mike said , even filled with sand.
I can see the bottom shelf making a good amp stand.ooh! Good idea I may try that next week!
I used it for awhile but the stacked unit isn't all that sturdy .
And btw the silver one looks way nicer in the picture than in real life.lol.
I have both the black and silver shelves.
But for the price they did the job for me for a couple years. In a pinch its
A reasonable cheap solution .
I just read your other post. I would definitely NOT go 5 shelves high on a vti.
Never tried it but I wouldn't want to.
Mike I love all that solid steel stuff. It's on sale at music direct but I think Jeff carries them too.My wife has even said "get rid of those ugly racks". Wife approval to spend money. Not sure what I will get. I'm interested in suggestions too.
Amazon.com: Salamander - Archetype 5.0 Five-Shelf Audio Rack - Black: Home & Kitchen
Wow salamander is not expensive but is this sturdy
Mike these are available in a size that will fit any arc amp They were actually made for my 2301's & then I changed amps so SGR Audio still has them. Any size or dimension can be ordered & they improve the sound as they have excellent isolation. They also ship w/wideThe problem with so many stands is that they don't have enough big shelves with 9 inches of clearance (min). 7 inches clearance is a joke and not good for tube gear. 11 inches clearance would be ideal. Need wide, deep, tall, sturdy shelves (each shelf) that can hold 100-150 pounds each - especially the bottom shelf.
