If you are playing Qobuz from your Apple devices (for example) you are using AirPlay or Bluetooth and you need to keep your devices on in order to listen to your music. In other words, the music is going through your devices. As I understand it, the "Connect" part is to allow Qobuz to be used on devices that don't run either Windows or Mac, and are not programs like Sonos, Roon, or the many others that wrote Qobuz into them.
Or am I mis-understanding that? I have had no problems playing Qobuz from my phone/iPad, or my Mac or PCs. And Roon incorporates it well. It was a bit wonky on Sonos, but then Sonos was still wonky last time I played around with it. Have to do a new Sonos set up in the new house, so I will be re-evaluating. Its mainly used for her Spotify.
That's what I thought, but when I run it to the LUMIN T2, as soon as I start playing a tune in the Qobuz App, the LUMIN App opens up on the iPad and shows what is playing. Then when I try playing another tune the same way I played the first one - in the Qobuz App to the LUMIN, the new song begins playing on the iPad and not on the LUMIN like the first one did.If you're going to use Qobuz Connect you don't open the Lumin app at all.
Like Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect will work on it's own with any device that is on Qobuz's list whether or not it has it's own dedicated software or not with Qobuz integrated. In my systems it works with Auralic and Eversolo but not the Holo Red which has no software program for control. If Sonos chooses to become approved it will work with their devices also.
Jack,Are you only playing one song at a time with nothing else in the queue? Have you turned on auto play in the Qobuz app. If either is the case then after that one song is finished it is likely reverting back to it's base operation which would be playing to the control device.
