With the carbon fiber sides it sure looks like a mini M-pro, M-Pro Jr. Mk2, whatever Magico nomenclature would be.

Comparing images of the M-Project and the Q5, to me the corpus design looks to be leaning on M-Project design (which is very nice), but the drivers do look neither like M-Project, nor Q5.

Very interesting though, now we have again half a year to smart-a@! about what it is and why we think it is what it is.

Gentlemen, sharpen your meat cleavers [emoji83].

Well, the Q series (or whatever it is), is long overdue for an upgrade. Exciting times! Magico is continually pushing them envelope. Heck, I'm so happy with my S1 mk2/VAC iQ200 combo and can't wait to get my S5 mk2's in. I can't imagine what M Project owners are hearing!

And again, I have a whole new appreciation for their linearity after many of my previous speakers gave me bass nightmares.
 
After adding the acoustics treatment to my music room the sound of the S3s got even better, so I really do enjoy them a lots. They show you everything that is in the record, but nothing more.

So I am a bit of a Magico fanboy, but also understand Paul in respect to brand value. For the value to build Alon sometimes either needs longer product cycles or an upgrade path. That said, I think the Q3/ Q5 are ready for an upgrade.

The Q-range is 5 years old now. It is high time for an upgrade, especially since the cheaper S-series already got the improved Diamond coated tweeter, graphene midrange anc curved sides.
 
I wonder what the cost of the Q3 MkII will be?
I wonder if it's performance will surpass the S7?
I wonder if a Q5 MkII is on the horizon?
I wonder if they'll revise the Q7 MkII with carbon side walls?
