PS Audio DirectStream DAC

I now have over 200 hours on the Direct Stream.
Right now I am going straight into my Qol and then into the Amp. Thus, bypassing my Preamp.
I'm really likening it this way..
 
Lancelock, I did try it in the Direct Stream. I dunno know perhaps where I placed it, but the sound became very closed in.
I was very surprised this is the first piece of equipment that it didn't work well with.
 
I can't wait to purchase this DAC soon, only thing I'm waiting on are finances to be right. For you guys that have already bought one are there any Distributers with any deals out there, prices that are negotiable? Or is the price pretty much fixed?

By all means, bring along your favorite music, either on CD or flash drive, especially a musically worthwhile recording done back in the earlier days of digital. Note that any music on flash drive ( up to 24/192 ok ) must be formatted as one of the following: FAT, FAT32, NTFS


This should be a great meeting. Looking forward to meeting those we met at AXPONA 2014 added to our list. See you all this Sunday!
 
I have a direct stream on order. I have a win 8/Jriver server with home network. I plan on putting the DS in another room away from the server. Can I just plug in an Ethernet cable and the DS will see the server and I'll have my source? Or, do I need a need the network bridge?

You need the Bridge.
 
OK, ordered my Directstream today, trying to get it by Friday. If not it will be here early next week. Hoping this will be my DAC for a few years.

I too have company every night...on the TV...World Cup football. And I'm loving it.
