the only flying (at this time) B-29 . Not to mention on display are a B-17 Flying Fortress, C-45 Expeditor, T-6 Texan, PT-13 Stearman and a T-34 Mentor. For $1,000 or so you can take a ride in the cockpit seat. Neat video of the plane in Ca.
This - I - really - want - to - share: Dusting off my LPs from +30 years ago at my summerhouse after getting back into Vinyl after as much of time, I found the user manual for my parents 'Hi-Fi System' from when I was a teenager. This is where it all started: On this thing I cherished my first ever self-purchased LP record, Foreigner 4. Still have it, will give it a spin on the Vpi next week when I'm back.
At the time I felt this was really cool, tangential record player, led light indicators for C-tape recording level, all integrated. I am sure it cost several hundred marks new.
What makes this interesting is that after living on four continents in a dozen countries and having moved more times than I wish to recall, there are only few physical artefacts left from this time. Down the 'Hi-Fi' memory lane.
