Hey Guys,

Curious what headphones you guys are using on the road. I'm currently using Apple ear buds tethered to my iPad. Would love a Bluetooth headphone set that controls volume, tracks, etc, and still sound good. A few years ago I was using Sennheiser 350x (or something like that) that I liked, but they broke, so now the earbuds. I think I have a slight preference for over the ear vs. in ear headphones.

Any recommendations?:audiophile:

Thx

FWIW I prefer in-canal to either type you mention because first I need to shut out most of the ambient sound before I hear the music. This also helps prevent turning them up too loud. In canals aren't for everybody and they can be a challenge to get used to, but they are the best at what they do. I use Etymotic ER6i's with triple flange ear cushions. Ultimate Ears 3 way IEM's are TOTL if you have a grand to spend. I think both brands have options for custom fit ear cushions as well. Have fun.

It depends on how much you want to spend, what kind of sound you like, etc. PSB makes a very good pair of portable headphones, as do Sony, Audio Technica and many others.

If you're anywhere near Denver, RMAF in October has maybe the best "can jam" where you can try various headphones, amplifiers, accessories. Head-Fi used to have a national get-together, which was even better, but not in the last few years.

For <$200, you can get a Vmoda M80
For $300, you have a lot of choice, Vmoda M100, Sen Monmentum, Sony MDR-1.
Vmoda M100 is my personal favorite because I love their design.
