PMC IB2i speakers are in my vehicle.

WOW....What a statement . Bob...Are you S...U...R...E ? :D

Of course not, but they are still my favorite nonetheless. ...And who cares if I'm sure or not, as long as I believe. :D

Let me put it this way (and you already know that Paul): I would spend my own money in purchasing a pair for meself.
It's just that I'm little bit short of cash right now on the eve of a very fast Christmas coming up. ...Some kids are much younger than I, and they've been good all year. :)

Why in the basement's room Paul, your upstairs' room is fantastic. ...Anything to do with the wifey?

Nope My wife is cool with music. It's just matter of room size Bob. Upstair's room is only 14X15 and basement is 18X28 and as you already know the Music is huge speakers and I think she would work better in bigger room. Well,,,If not I can always go back too :)

Paul - when I heard the PMC speakers at RMAF - I immediately began thinking where I could put them! Congrats on a fabulously musical speaker with a midrange that's one of the best. I bet with your 275's, these speakers sound incredible.

Paul,
Thank you for answering my question about the comparison of The Music with the PMC speakers. Do the VA Music speakers do well with rock and sub par recordings?
thanks,
Anshul

Anshul....They can rock if they are in the right room. With their (3) 23cm proprietary X3P Spider-Cone woofers supposed to go low as 22 hz however I measured in my small room it went down to 24 hz.

I had a JL Audio F113 before but with my Music speakers they never had a chance to work so I sold them.:)

I'm so sorry Joe ...I didn't mean to hurt your feeling....I know you have a special feeling about the Strads....I love them too...

However do you remember Mike's comment about the strads ? He said " If I listen to Classical music only ? I would keep the strads forever..." Oops did I hurt your feeling again ??? :D

Ha!

No. I like what I like. That's why there are sooooooooo many pieces of gear to choose from. It's all good. I am not sure what I will end up buying but it's fun to look!

I think who it is also Paul. ;)

* Did you see that comet, ISON ? ...I think I did. :tumbleweed:

Me too

Joe, What do you think about the JOB on my new speakers ?

Frequency Response: 25Hz-25kHz

Impedance: 4 Ohms

Recommended Amp Power: 180-900W

Sensitivity: 89dB 1w 1m

Paul,

For me it would be more than enough power. If you like to crank it, it might be a problem. See what power levels you hit on your MC601's and let me know. The Job is 125 wpc and can hit a peak of 210 but I do not think it has the headroom to make you feel the bass without problem. My TADs are 86 dB efficient and I find it great for my taste/levels.
