Who here has owned or does own the Aesthetix Atlas power amp? Stereo chassis or Mono pair?

What do you think the strengths and/or weaknesses of the Atlas amps are?

Since I own the Calypso line stage just wondering what a pairing of the Calypso with the Atlas might be like (if I can ever afford the Atlas). I've heard the Atlas mono's at RMAF in several different setups but that's not always the best environment, nor do I recall ever hearing the Calypso + Atlas together in those systems that I'm aware. From what I recall, folks were running the Atlas' with other branded linestages or preamps. :doubtful:

Now that I think about it, I've only ever heard a pair of Atlas Mono's and not the single chassis Stereo version. What I did find similar in the systems that I've heard the Atlas Mono's was that they produced music very effortlessly at all volumes while never getting stressed and were able to easily fulfill any dynamic requests asked of them. They sounded very smooth yet detailed and tonally correct to my ears.

What's your experience been with the Atlas?

I had an Atlas signature stereo amp partnered with a Calypso for nearly a year. It drove my Wilson Sasha effortlessly to very high levels without getting strained just like your observation. It's a very musical sounding amp with great tonality...listening to the human voice is heavenly with just the right amount of bloom.

Hi Carlo,

Thanks for sharing and confirming what I've heard too.

Anyone else had experience with the Atlas amplifiers?
