I think there's a good chance he's the CREATOR of said earthquakes...

Hi Rick, welcome to AS!:hi:

Curious, what JRDG component do you have? Until recently, I had a JRDG 8TiHC amp as my avatar (but I still have the amp!:P)

Courbe Speakers.

* I agree, she's too low (she should be more at eye's level; slightly below, roughly four feet from the floor, top of the rack). ...And perhaps not so much forward (in line with the speaker's front plane; baffle).

What you think kiwi?

Without the pic I thought you were talking about a women there Bob

Touche Dan! ;)

Thank you! I run Model 201 monoblocks. I just recently went from a home theater back to a 2 channel setup, but kept two of them in rotation. It's been difficult deciding to let any of them go as three are sequential lower serials, plus I may decide to go back to a 3.1 setup. I know for sure two will remain with me always as I'm very pleased with their performance. They're Class D based on the B&O 500ASP modules. Catface, (pictured left,) hates them as she's very upset she doesn't have a warm amp to sleep on top of any more.

We never know, and we might never find out for certain .... :)

* I thought she was Dave's wife?

She is.I have her as my avatar at AudioKarma as well.Thank you NorthStar, she's vintage now as that pic was taken 26 yrs ago right before we got married. She takes care of herself and still looks amazing. She still has guys in their mid 20's hittin on her  but I "subtly" inform them that she's taken.

Having the turntable centred and on the same plane as the speakers is widely considered the worst possible configuration.

Turntables (and for that matter CD transports and tube pre-amps too) lose their life and dynamics when they are being bombarded with resonance inducing bass frequencies. I can imagine those 12 inch (or are they 15 inch?) woofers which are sitting neatly 4ft (or so) either side of the turntable will be inducing vibration and unwanted acoustic feedback.

Excellent. Good to know :)

Kiwi, I think you are using the Nordost kones on your gears. How do you like them ?

Nice set up :)

One quick question though. Is that the sub on the bottom shelve ? How do you manage the vibration effect on your components ?

That was only temporary while I waited for the correct length tubing to be shipped. While it was there though, it really wasn't that bad. I live in an apartment and decoupling the sub from the floor really made a difference. I find myself just leaving it powered off a lot of the time now just so I don't disturb anyone. I should give that a shot again.

Exactly my line of thinking. You and I kiwi think alike.

Hi Paul, I like Nordost Sort Kone so much that I have about 30 of them in my main system. They serve to provide a mechanical earth for components.
Kiwi. Wow...30 of them !!! Which model are you using ? AS ,AC or even higher ? Would you elaborate little more ? How many each components do you use them ? did you find 4 are better than 3 ? Which gear did you find works best ? Thanks in advance.
