Choosing things we want to use is something we need to preserve.But the real story is streaming beats them both. “Of course, both pale in comparison to revenue brought in from streaming, which has taken over the music industry in recent years.”
“Downloading” music may come to be seen as a relic of this era. I have plenty of downloads, but my oldest child is 13, has never downloaded music (unless it is a temporary hold from tidal to get through a flight), and doesn’t understand the need to use space for it. I tend to agree.

Streaming will the future for the average consumer but; physical media (LP and CD) will live on for the audiophile. Streaming just doesn't have every title available. Likewise in the video ; Netflix/Amazon Prime has been great for the cinephile to find and discover new content. However; so many titles available on disc that aren't and won't ever be on streaming service. Same as audio.
