Oscar Peterson

Awesome video! I've seen it before. He really can sing like Nat King Cole too.

James.......Thank you for that. Many people don't know that Oscar Peterson was a Canadian pianist. What a fabulously talented man. He passed away at 82 just two days before Christmas in 2007. Rest in peace Oscar.

And how many people have their University Degrees signed by Oscar Peterson? [emoji6]. He was the Chancellor of my University when I graduated. Kind of cool...

Dan - his album called "Tracks" is a must own. It's just him and grand piano - solo. The story is that he had it tuned after every track. He has two tracks on the album that will leave you shaking your head at just how good he was.

Hi Mike

I was involved in a number of recordings with Oscar and Telarc Records in Toronto's Manta Sound Studio in the late 90's and early 2000's and he was a true gentleman and also a bit of an audiophile.

I got credit on one of his albums as well - a real honour!

Yes it really was a highlight for me and meeting all the other musicians around him like Ray Brown etc. and being able to be there for live vs recorded was a real eye opener for me.
