Opgrade

Didn't last long. Still freezing on Android.

Please go back to 7.1.7, check if it freezes. Then upgrade to 7.20, then 8.x as I listed before.

Please find out from which version it starts to freeze for you.

Your symptom description " I just thought it was my tablet going into some type of standby if I'm listening for a period of time without touching the screen" reads different from others. So it's not clear to me that you are experiencing the same type of "freeze" as others.

For you, you need to change the Lumin app setting "Disable Auto-Lock" from to Playing.

Will this pending iOS Lumin app fix the freezing screen issues when it is finally approved and released? Do you have an estimate of how long we will have to wait for that to happen?

Just got approval. App store should need up to 24 hours to distribute it.

The iOS Lumin app 12.1.6 seems to have fixed the app screen freeze issue. Also, with this new app and firmware update, I now have the QRONO d2a options.

Hello wklie,

Few questions regarding the new firmwares for L2 and X-1

- My L2 is with 2.30, and last night I got an update that 2.43 is now available. What has been changed/added? I couldn't find any information.
- My X-1 also got notification to upgrade to 21b something.... should I upgrade ? what is 'b'? is it official?
- What does the "Jplay certified" practically mean? There are many functions that do not work/not related.
For example, if I wish to control the X-1 settings (Say, moving the unit to standby) is this possible?
it asks for a URL pointing to the device? how do I obtain it?

Thanks in advance!

EJK,
Did you upgrade to the latest update? I did not. I selected no for checking for updates.
It may be the latest updates are causing the issue?

Who knows. I couldn't even tell you what update I'm on at this point. It's been working fine since November 25th. I think I may have at that time uninstalled the app and reinstalled it which may mean I have the latest update I guess. Like I said it was fine since the end of November until a few days ago

There seems to be one major issue with Lumin players that hasn't been totally resolved and it's the Lumin app. The app contains upsampling features that Lumin can hang their hat on, but it's become increasingly unreliable over time. Unless they come up with permanent fixes, it will be hard to justify the Lumin prices for streamers that can only be used with streaming services' native apps where the upsampling features can't be used.
