I fell in love with the Nola KOs at RMAF 2012 and wanted a pair ever since. I ordered a pair a long time ago and I was just notified that they have shipped via freight today. Hopefully I will have them by this coming weekend. Needless to say I'm really excited to finally know these speakers are on their way.

Nice! Further up the line also got my attention, love ribbon tweeters & KT-150's too.

You should consider adding Stillpoints. When I spoke with Carl about speaker bases, he mentioned that to keep the KO priced the way it is required (among other cost cutting measures) not having the ball-bearing isolation base that the higher NOLA models have.

Congrats Mark. The KOs are fine sounding speakers. Heard them at RMAF as well. Driven by ARC they sounded fantastic. Delicate with light classical music and very dynamic with rock and blues. A terrific value at $10K.

Enjoy! :congrats:

Congrats, Mark! I know you will be happy with them. I liked what I heard of the Nolas (Metro Grands?) at the NYAS the other week and now understand what Joe was so enthusiastic about his pair of Nolas. Good stuff!

the gestation period was long enough. i would have changed my mind three times in that period, i think you made a good choice. which finish did you choose?

I chose the piano gloss black finish.

Good tip and I will keep it in mind after I rebuild my coffers due to purchasing the Ref 5SE, Ref 75, and the Nola KOs. I truly believe the KOs represent the sweet spot in Carl's line as far as sound quality and pure bang for the buck.

I remember those speakers at RMAF 2012, man they sounded good...Pretty cool , I say congrats are in order.

We possibly head them at the same time! I raved about them after the show was over.

Don't forget the version Mark is getting a different than shown at RMAF. Carl's made several changes to the
KO.

Thanks. It was reassuring after the show and I posted my initial comments that other people heard what I heard so to speak and felt the same way. My KOs will be the first pair built with the new tweeters.

Well is you saw a big blond guy wearing a Gibson shirt that be me..

The only chance I would have remembered you was if you were a sexy blonde woman with big **** and you told me you were wealthy and owned a liquor store.
