Newly Ordered Lampi and some Questions

Lovely. The GG suddenly adding more to bottom end and fuller sound overall. Burn it already! My Stax headphone sounding rich and magical at the moment.

Yes indeed Le Roy. Remember, it's as if you have 2 dac's in one chassis. The DSD is separate and distinct from the PCM. Hence the reason why burn in on both signal paths is required. Hope this helps...

Most of the chassis is taken up with the analogue circuitry. The digital components are actually pretty small (around 10% of space)

Haha. The thing is - is the magic of the lampi mainly due to the analogue DHT output stage and tube recti power supply or amazing digital circuits or a combo. I think a combo ultimately.
 
Been burning in lampi with psvane 101d (cheap version) and oldway Brimar 5r4gy and playing into a balanced electrostatic head amp (bhse) with stock new Mullard el34. Just had a listen with some rock (Bowie and yes and cash) playing in DSD. It sounds really fricking good. These are basically among the cheapest tubes I have been collecting and it sounds this good. Maybe some synergy going on. But I could live with this setup. Time to put some more challenging music on.
