I have been trying to purchase these truly stunning speakers for 5 years now on the pre-owned market (because I don't have $100K lying around:snicker:) Now I am the proud owner of a pair of Venture Audio Grand Ultimates ! Sorry it has been awhile since I uploaded pics.

Thanks everyone! To quote somebody, "After listening to these speakers, I need to smoke a cigarette." :audiophile:

"I drink to get drunk, I smoke to get high". Just quoting!:P

I heard the CR-8s many years ago and was very favorably impressed. That is to say, well, I was so impressed I wanted to take them home. Stunning presentation. What do you find that your beautiful new speakers do better?

First, with my CR-8's, I replaced (upgraded) the subwoofers from the Reference series, and that made a huge difference in dynamics, slam, bass articulation and even improved the mid bass/range. The Grand Ultimate just does everything better. Not to be vague, but really everything sounds better. Make an audio list and check off everything that is improved upon.

LOL, I forgot to add (and some members, if not most) understand when I say I decided to go with a standard Porsche Carrera S plus upgrading my audio system, instead of getting a Turbo Porsche. I know my priorities! :audiophile::celebrate008_2:
