New Product Announcement: TAD Labs Evolution Series TAD-C1000 preamplifier

The folks at TAD Labs wanted The Listening Chair to let everyone know that they have introduced the new Evolution Series TAD-C1000 preamplifier ($24,950 USD).

The TAD-C1000 shares design language with existing Evolution Series components including the TAD-D1000TX disc player, TAD-DA1000TX DAC, and TAD-M1000 power amplifier. Feature highlights include:

(1) a preamplifier version of a single-stage, current-feedback amplifier originally developed for the M700 power amplifier and other TAD hi-fi components and incorporated it into the flat amplifier section of the C1000.

(2) an exquisite center-mounted, ball-bearing-supported volume knob.

(3) perfectly symmetrical circuit layout that creates a unified electrical and mechanical environment for top performance.,

(4) an intricate vibration-control design

(5) high-purity power circuity

(6) TAD’s custom-made parts and components.

Availability in October of this year.

Looks great. Lots of stout competition in that price range, but glad to see TAD doing new stuff in the US.

I’ve always liked TAD’s industrial design. Looks good

TAD by all accounts makes terrific products, but their pricing and limited volumes/distribution would appear to make them an intentionally niche exclusive brand, at least in the U.S.
