New MSB Transport

Right, as I suspected. A disc spinner would need to sound noticeably better than the alternative for me. It's just too much sufferance, contemplating the inconvenience of the loading of the disc etc that diminishes the whole end-user experience compared to the overwhelming convenience of the alternative. But, I do understand the satisfaction of tactile interaction some people get with the disc loading process that makes it appealing to them. Just not for me.

This is a valid question. A ripped CD over an optimized network is very very close sonically to a CD via an optimized transport and its link. There are many of those who still prefer however, to spin CD’s and it’s tactile experience Vs ripping/storage/Network/streaming. We have done our own tests in the store, and although it’s very close, we felt the CD played via the Transport still sounded best. But frankly, I felt like it was a 98 Vs 100 type of result. In comparing the CD Vs Tidal, the result was more like 100 Vs 85.
