That wood has been embargoed to Canada for around 35 years. The skill level is as good as gets most of those guys are past away now. That is Tambour doors. I suspect on the back of the cabinet is a metal plate that says Leif Jacobsen. I would consider getting a rider on your home insurance policy.
This cabinet actually survived a house fire in 1988 that unfortunately my townhouse neighbor caused.

Tascam,
I like the equipment, but...I just hope you never have to send the equipment in for repair. They had mine under warranty for over 4 months and it almost seemed like they were bragging when they said they have had some unrepaired equipment for over a year.
They said if I would want to pay some money up front I could move up their repair que. I never asked how much that would cost, I told them to send back my unit unrepaired. It is now a boat anchor.

If that happens, I’ll just buy a new one, have the old one repaired and then sell the old one when I get it back.

Hi. Phil from Adelaide South Australia.
Current system consists of -

Primare CD35 Prisma > Chord Qutest DAC
SRM Arezzo Turntable with Super Platter > Rega RB900 arm > Audio Technica AT-OC9XSL > Arcam rPhono
Primare I35 Integrated
PMC Twenty5 23i speakers > ISO Acoustic GIAI III
REL T7x Sub
Nordost Blue Heaven interconnect and speaker cable.

I’m still in my honeymoon period with the PMCs after having replaced my beloved Monitor Audio Silver 300 7i with them. The MAs were fabulous but the PMCs have raised the imaging and soundstage to the next level.

Currently considering upgrading the speakers with the active amplifier package.
