New here, modest system....don't beat me up!

Actually, I'm sure your system sounds quite nice. I was just chatting with CD about how I think the $1k to $2k equipment offers the most audiophile fun. It's also stunning how much so called "high end" sound can be wrung from a system comprised of components in that price range. I'm currently enjoying some KEF r300s which are just awesome and affordable.

A lot of it's about power supply and room acoustics anyway. Any system won't sound as good as it should without the foundations being sorted. My room acoustics are terrible by the way!

After some time away I'm back...still got a massive home theater/2 channel hybrid but slimmed down my sig to my smallsih insanely nice 2 channel bedroom rig. Got some reading to do...but eh...Hello again?
