New D'Agostino amp review

The latest issue of Tone reviews the D'Agostino amp. Jeff says it is one of the best amps available at any price. I wholeheartedly agree.

Wait until you see what Dan has waiting in the wings. A last evenings Paragon Sight and Sounds "Night of the Great Independents" Dan let us know about some of his upcoming products including:
-Almost completed phono stage
-A integrated amp that combines the Momentum Stereo amp with his Momentum pre-amp. This will be shown at CES
- 600wpc mono blocks that will retail for around ~@120k
-1500wpc mono blocks that will provide 20,000watts into a half ohm load for about $250k
- A pre amp worthy of the last two amps.

I just fainted!

Jim - let us know when you find out the MSRP on the integrated. I'm very interested.

Dan is on a roll!!!

:shocking::shocking:

Wholeheartly agree with Jeff's review.

the Mom-s sounds great with ss, tube, balanced or single ended pre amps.

Mine is going nowhere. :-)

There is also a new review in the November HiFi News of the D'Agostino preamp. They loved it and said:

"The sound is exquisite, this lavish preamplifier naturally proving to be the perfect complement to DAgostino’s power amp designs. Hearing it combined with a pair of the lMomentum monoblocks might make you go weak at the knees, the sumptuously rich and detailed sound every bit as opulent as the products’ industrial design. lf it doesn’t bring tears to your eyes, then clearly you’ve got no soul!”

I did! I love it!

Congrats Mike! Awesome

It certainly is so uber sexy in person and that volume control could almost encourage me to get off my arse to use it.

Why did you not get the amp? What other amps did you prefer?

Thanks!!

Actually no other amp. I was demoing my dealers stereo amp and wanted it, but instead I decided I'm going to save my pennies for the D'Agostino monos. :). I still want the VAC phi200's one day too.

The preamp is just so sexy (as you said) and sounds amazing to boot. I just couldn't let it go.

Excellent! Or are you just waiting for the 120k monoblocks? :woot:
