New ARC website

Yes Mike , saw it yesterday
Nice !!!!

I think they coming with something new in Munich

A REF450
Especially made for me
Hahahahah

Just joking
:)
ARC4LIFE !!!

You need more power? Holy cow. I can't get anything beyond 60 watts on my Alexia's because they are so efficient. Heck, if I don't switch the Dag meters over to function for 30 watts, they don't move!

I recently bought a brand new ARC REF 5SE and ARC REF 75 so I guess that makes me a fan of ARC.

Thanks guys. I'm looking forward to them breaking in. I also bought a pair of Nola KO speakers which are still under construction at the factory. I hope to have them soon.

That's going to be a killer combo. I believe Harry Pearson had that exact combo when he reviewed the Ref 75 and he loved the combo. Let us know how it all comes together and lots of pics please!

Will do! I really need a new stand for my audio gear, but that is going to have to wait for awhile.

Congratulations!

Can't wait for your opinion. I've heard and enjoyed the Ref5SE with the Ref 150. I've secretly always wanted to try the Ref75. I think it's a killer little amp.

Thanks Joe. I will have much more to say after they have broken in and after I receive my Nola KO speakers. I will say that both the REF 5SE and REF 75 sound damn good straight out of the box. Common wisdom says the Teflon caps need 600 hours to sound their best and ARC puts a 'warning' label in the box of both pieces to tell the owners that.

Totally agree about break in. I visited Carl at his factory when I demoed the Micro Grand Reference before I bought them. A wonderful demo. Both Carl and Marilyn were so nice and cordial as usual. If I remember correctly, the Micros were voiced on the VS60i but played beautifully on everything I tried. Carl makes superb speakers. The KO should be wonderful.

Your new new system is going to be terrific. I heard the KOs at RMAF 2012 driven by the Ref 75. A wonderful combo. Played clean loud rock and, very delicate classical music passages. The KOs are one of the best speakers in the $10K price point - IMHO. We know how good the Refs 5se and 75 are....:)

What cables?

Mike-You and I heard the same thing as I was at RMAF 2012 also and that is where I fell in love with the sound Carl was getting with his system. Carl was using the REF 5SE and the REF 75 with the Nola KOs during that show.

As for cables, for the here and now I'm going to continue with the MIT ICs I have been using. I'm not sure of what I'm going to end up with for speaker cables. I am selling the MIT Shotgun S1.3 biwire cables that I have been using because they won't work with the KOs.

You are right, now I remember, they were using the 5SE as well as Nordost wires. Can't remember if the player was a CD8 or 9...

Carl was using $40k of Nordost speaker cables in addition to the cost of the ICs and PCs.
