Hi Guys
Well I finally did it. Yesterday I said goodbye to my 16 year old ARC VT100
In it's place is a brand new Mcintosh MC275VI.
First impression. WOW!!! this amp is gorgeous. Pictures really don't do it justice. It has a very cool retro look to it.
Second impression. This amp is heavy. At 67 pounds, it's 2 pounds heavier than my ARC albeit the overall dimensions are smaller.
Listening impression. Too early to tell as it only has about 5 hours on it, but it ain't bad
One little nitpick. I'm not really fond of the green led's, and I understand they can be turned off.
In due time I will replace the stock tubes with a complete set of gold lions. I just have to recover from the initial $$$ outlay.
Overall, I'm extremely happy and it will only get better:audiophile::audiophile:
