Oh God. That brings back scary memories standing on the corner of the West Side Highway looking up. We thought they were chairs being pushed out the windows initially, until we saw the pinwheeling arms and legs of some.

What a choice - fall, die coughing from the smoke, die burning from the flames, getting pushed by someone behind you, waiting for the ceiling to collapse, etc.:afraid:
 
I won't forget due to the traumatization of the world by the Media in showing these horrific scenes over and over and over......

Like right now, on cable, all night. The works, including all of the conspiracy theories. However way it is replayed, innocent human being died because they went to work to live, there & then.
 
When this was all unfolding in real time, one TV station started to interview a Psychologist who was in the middle of explaining just how showing it over and over was traumatizing people. Right in the middle of that sentence they just cut away from him and went back to replaying the same clips over and over.

I am not taking anything away from the innocent people who were effected by all this and certainly don't want to forget, but we do not need to keep seeing it to remember.

My brother in law keeps forwarding us some conspiracy theory crap. The newest one says that there are shipping records over the last few weeks before 9/11 that delivered on a regular basis. The consipracy is that they were delivering thermite that was being strategically placed throughout the buildings. Their "proof" is that the fire burned hotter than jet fuel is capable of (though that is likely not true) and the buildings burned for days and days afterwards, which woouldn't happen with jet fuel, so it must have been something else that burns for a long time and that something was thermite.

I keep telling him to stop sending us this crap but he is so sure that the government is behind anything bad that ever happens. Free speach is one thing, but it seems to me like they are yelling "fire" in a movie theater.

After what happened with Pearl Harbor, I would not be the least bit surprised that some people in higher places knew more about this happening that anyone will admit to the public.
 
I will never forget as I sat on my couch, watching with my mouth wide open and tears streaming down my cheeks.

God bless those who perished and their families. Also God Bless the NYPD and the FDNY for their untiring and heroic efforts on that fateful day, a day that will live in infamy:(:(:(
 
... and God bless all those wo helped out afterwards, cleaning debris and looking for bodies and such. Those people are just as much victims, suffering through lung cancers and other fatal maladies after breathing in all the dust and asbestos and such during those first few days/weeks.

... and God damn those people in government and the "for profit" charities who collected all this sympathy money for 911 and Katrina and Sandy and failed to disburse it in a timely fashion, if at all.
 
The world is slowly starting to see this for what it was. For what is related to it at the moment, stay the course, delete the scourge! A truly sad day.
 
I was there when it happened. I never talked about it with my family until about a week ago. I was half way through the story when I got all choked up and just couldn't speak about it any more. I guess it shook me up more than I care to admit. Funny thing, I re-united with a friend recently who was with me through the whole insane day. He texted me today and asked if I remembered what we did 13 years ago. He and I remember it like it happened yesterday...
