I heard it's possible to fill the VTI with sand, I personally do not know anyone who did it, and I do not see a way to do it.
If you know a way to fill the VTI with sand please share with me.

I am not sure how easy it is but each leg should be able to be filled. My thinking is that you flip it over and remove the bottom threaded cap and fill from there OR slowly pour through the thread hole but that would gunk up the threads. Lead shot would be the better choice in that case.

Then you can tap the cap back on with a rubber mallet and screw the spikes back in.
