Congrats, Joe! I'm sure you will love it!
He does seem to like it.![]()
Ok if Joe bought one then it's a legit piece of gear. I may need to jump in. I just placed my order for a Chord Hugo. Hmmmm
Joe is my muse - he DA man
So does the lumin stream wirelessly or is it via an Ethernet connected to wireless/nas?
You ideally need Ethernet from your main router to the Lumin and to your NAS. You then need wifi so the Lumin and NAS and iPad are all on the same home network.
I have a CAT5 running from my Fios cable to the 10 port switch in my upstairs music room. Then I plug my NAS, Lumin and Apple Airport Express (which acts as my wifi) into the switch.
Hope this makes sense.
I know that I will love it. I'm a streaming kind of guy![]()
Congrats Joe !!
As you know, I absolutely love this thing !!!!
Sweet...quite the LUMINated crowd building here. LoL
Streaming is really so turnkey, its obvious why many will chose this option...plug and forget! Good on Mike for arranging that group buy.

Thanks Mike!
What's the deal with the group buy? (PM me if you need to.)
Geoffrey ,Talk about making one feel UN-empowered. That's what the Lumin setup has done for me. Must fetch my disc player out of its box in the closet just to hear music again. A week wasted trying to get A1 up and running. Now about ready to send it back. Didn't know I needed IT skills to get this device working. Besides restocking cost returning A1 also return costs for purchased iPad Mini Retina, QNAP TS-119PII and Medialink Wireless Router Model MWN-WAPR300N. Lumin agent actually offered to come out to help, but no way would I have anyone drive for four-five hours to help with what should be easy. This all makes me feel like a useless idiot. Ugh.
Don't give up! I'm sure people here can help and I will say I'm impressed that the Lumin rep was willing to drive out and help from that far away - that's impressive!
