My New Lumin

Any particular brand? Using from the L1 to the router or network to the Lumin or both?

Thx!

I bought this on Amazon

I use a Blue Jeans cat 7 from my router to my A1. I also use Audioquest cables from my modem to my router along with a medical noise filter device. Chris Connaker suggested both.

you may want to try is Cat7 cable. I was speaking with the distributor who told me he found it makes a nice improvement.

On this subject, there is a group of CAS enthusiasts who found further improvement by doing Ethernet Cat 7 -> Fiber -> Ethernet Cat 7 conversion (with linear power supply for the converters) between the router and the network player. The theory is that the intermediate conversion to fiber filters out the unwanted (DC?) noise that may have been passed from the router. There's also LAN isolator...

I use Audioquest Diamond, between the NAS and the switch and between the switch and the A1.
Expensive but fantastic .

Another thing that has given me an excellent result , is placed Stillpoint , under the NAS

I'm looking forward to that update !
That's another great thing about my Lumin, the app tells me when an update is available and then I just tap yes, and let Lumin take care of it.

Kev, the Lumin S1 and A1 ARE truly system dependent. When I owned my Raidho D3's, the S1 was clearly better with less and tighter bass. When I bought Salon 2's again, the A1 was clearly superior, with a more analog sound, and more bass.
And then there's the difference cables make between the Lumin and the preamp, which is to say "A Lot" I've experimented with lots of cables, and for some reason, the cable between my Lumin and my pre makes the biggest difference of any in my system.

I am new to this board and thinking to get a Lumin. I have all tube gears and Mag 20.1, which model is best for my system. I am looking for neutral sound.

..I hope this isn't seen as a hijacking but I have a question about my A1. When I have an album queued up and am selecting single cuts I get an annoying click as the track starts and on DSDs it's much more apparent. Has anyone else experienced this and if so is there a fix? Not the end of the world but annoying nonetheless...thanks..

es347....I,too, have had the same problem from time to time. i was assuming the problem was somewhere else in the system, but i guess it could be coming from the A1...I hope someone has an answer and more importantly , a fix..

When I got my S1 a few months ago I encountered a bug where sometimes a track would start, and a burst of white noise would blast out. However, working with Lumin they developed a fix, and I haven't had it since then. The latest firmware has the fix. However, it is possible your issue is related, and the fix needs to be enhanced. Send an email to Lumin support, and describe how to reproduce it. My issue was random, so it was a bit hard to nail down.
