My Balanced Golden Gate is breaking in nicely ....

I loved my Big 7 balanced and did not really think the sound could get much better. I have the say my Golden Gate balanced is just wonderful. Big, open, sweet, detailed, tons of 3D, in the room sound stage, perfect vocals and depth. It has it all. Thank you Lukasz, Fred and Rob! Another homerun.
 
Mine too! Except mine is on a road trip on loan to a friend who wanted to hear it in his system. Pity the U.S. distributor doesn't do a whole lot of demos. I've told Fred they need a dealer network so more people can hear the Lampi in their systems (now envision me with my hand up saying "pick me! Pick me!")

I hope your friend has put the cash aside for when he writes the cheque post the departure:)

Btw - have you introduced Mr Lampi to the Utopias yet? I will be introducing my golden gate to Maestros very soon with any luck

He will bellyache that he doesn't have the money, but once he hears it, he will find a way.

I'm afraid to try the Lampi 211/GG combo on the Focal! But, I will.

Got this funny feeling that combination just might turn out to be mind bending. A chap I know in the UK said that ongaku + utopia was really very special - real curve ball cos you don't expect them as natural bed mates.

On dem or is this your unit, Mark? What are your 1st impressions? I would think it would sound very synergistic with your kit - just looks like it would be a good fit.

Local sale to a fellow audiophile who bought my second Dartzeel amp. Fred was able to arrange the sale and I delivered it. Another happy camper, go Lampizator. And, he's a fellow Strad owner! Yeah!
