MW real 101 setup and initial thoughts

And by the way I'll be using an SPU for now. I just picked up the anniversary Ortofon A95, it's a brilliant cartridge.

Update: I recieved my 101.2 just before Christmas. Setup was an absolute breeze, in fact it was enjoyable after years of setting up more finicky turntables. I transferred the Schick tonearm and Ortofon A95 SPU from my TD-124 and within an hour I was up and running.

In a nutshell: the best vinyl playback I've ever heard in my room. At the moment the 101.2 is sitting next to a restored TD-124 in a slate plinth and a Basis 2500 w/Vector 3 and EMT TSD-15. The Merrill-Williams wipes the floor with both. To defend the Basis l suppose it does have a neutrality that some would gravitate towards, but on all other fronts the 101.2 is a winner.

Just for fun I bought an Ortofon Meister Silver SPU to go along w/ my Candenza Bronze.....
I've always been curious what all the craze with SPUs is all about and now I get to find out...
I'm not getting rid of the Cadenza Black, swapping them on the Ortofon arm can be accomplished
in two minutes.....

Here's a youtube video......even accounting for it being an Iphone video, you'll hear
some of the magic of the SPU, and it's new out of the box!
