This is my first time in Munich and I must say it's a beautiful, clean city, with great culture and history. The people are great too. Highly impressed.

I spent about 5 hours at the MOC (convention center) and walked the floors, talked to some folks, etc. To say that it's a massive show, is an understatement. Its the size of 10 Axpona's - easily. You cannot believe the sheer size of the show. Everyone who is anyone is here. Forget that, everyone is here!

People in Europe have such passion for HiFi. Color me impressed!

Mike, glad you like it - welcome to Europe [emoji3].

Hope we can catch up despite a rather busy schedule.

Here you go with the updated list for dinner on saturday:

- Mike
- Golum
- Audiophon +2/3
- Kevin
- Brent
- Emile?
- XV-1?
- Hongkong
- La Dolce Vita
- Kuoppis?
- Nikhil

So we should be at least 10 for dinner, however, if anybody wants to join last minute, that shouldn't be a problem at all!

Tomorrow I'll call some restaurants in the city center of Munich. I'd propose to meet there at 8 pm in order to allow people to join from the hifi-deluxe (which closes at 8 pm) or from the listening session of Grandinote (see post above).

I'll post the address and details tomorrow.

Just remember that we'll meet Friday to Sunday at 11 am at the restaurant in the Atrium of hall 4 (you can see it in the back of the picture of last year):

Hi Everyone...really looking forward to meeting those of you I've yet to meet. This said I am quite certain I have a dinner meeting with one of the manufacturers that night so I do not think I can make the dinner. This said, would love to try and meet for a drink, quick chat etc. if anything changes will gladly let you know...

Definitely. I cannot believe the number of trees and nature preservation.

I've had 6 Uber's and they've all been NEW Audi's, BMW's or MB's. Not missing the Kia my Uber driver typically drives.

Loved the massiveness of the BMW super complex (factory, new car display, museum).

I'm taking it all in. I notice how social the folks here are. They love to drink, eat and be merry - that's for sure! All day. Love it!

I also noticed everyone smokes. Guess they didn't get the memo. [emoji6]

Europe for sure is different. Have lived in the US on several occasions and in quite a few places in Europe.

I do enjoy both, diversity is great.

That is not the correct impression. Only say 1 in 20 of my friends smoke, with the nationwide avg beeing probably around 20% and decreasing. Germany is no different.

In Poland you can't even smoke in public places, like a bus stop, a bar or a night club (unless they have sealed 'smoke chambers').

I finally got it (it was more difficult than expected to find a place for dinner... they're all booked out..), we'll go on saturday evening to have dinner at 8 pm at the

Ratskeller (http://www.ratskeller.com/)

The Restaurant is actually in the spectacular cellar of Munich's town house, so right in the city center.

I made the reservation on the name "Audioshark" ;-) in a part of the restaurant called "Weinstube" - but don't fear: you can have beer too ;-)!

Here's a map of the place, our table will be on the left side of the map:

Being in the city center its quite easy to reach the restaurant by public transport or taxi. If you want to come by car, leave the car at the nearest parking lot:

Rindermarkt 5, 80331 München, Germania

For any question just contact me!

It is actually European law, smoking inside is prohibited in most cafés, bars, clubs and restaurants.

I don't think it is EU law. It is down to national government to implement anti-smoking regulations. I was just in Prague and people smoked in bars/clubs.

Sorry Sir, you are mistaken. The law is European, implementation is national responsibility.

Mike, if you have some time left before the show you really should go to see this Hi-Fi- showroom: http://my-sound.net/

+1 for the My-Sound.

Wilson and Magico hold there their product launches often on Fridays night during High End, so you may go there with everyone if you are lucky.

Another place worth visiting is BMW Welt.
