Munich Hi-End Official Photos

Verity with the new Audia Flight separates, the power amp components are however the same as in the new integrated.

The new Lansche 5.2, powered by EMM Labs monos.

Quite nice combination, like the Ion-Arc tweeter - sound created with an arc of light. Lansche appears to have overcome the leanness in the bass, low-end sounded however slightly mushy (might have been the room).

One of the contenders for best of show IMHO: the not-so-affordable Göbel, powered by CH Precision.

The flat wide-range panel played w/o any sharpness.

Another top contender: smaller Göbel LS powered by the new Vitus 103s.

These I was looking forward to, unfortunately only on passive display in the TAD room. But luckily playing live on the Onkyo CE salon, sounded nice even when powered by very average electronics.

Could be a future contender to replace 3PSRs in the summerhouse.

The new Wilson Benesch sounded surprisingly nice or at least I did not expect much from the isobarik woofer approach. My ears always started to hurt when I heard the Linn implementations, not the case here.

This setup was very neutral, did not sound like much at all.

Entering the room I would have expected much more from a top Wilson/ Nagra pairing.

Mk2 Giyas sounded very nice with the Trinnov gear.

Quite a refined sound from the new Marten Coltrane Tenor 2s.

Apparently I did not take any picture of the Raidho room with the Aavik separates, potentially because it was a bit of a boomy affair.

The Beast Switzerland

For me the find of the show. These guys absolutely cracked the room. Breathtaking sound.

Absolare amps again! Why aren't we talking more about these guys. Two superb rooms at the show IMO.

BOS cone and dome for me. I stayed after the show to interview the designer. Will post the two videos tonight of that interview. The middle driver (that looks like a TV screen) is a full range drive (170hz to 31khz). It's a patented design. Good to see the bright young guys pushing the technology envelope and getting incredible results.

The middle driver also has similar from the rear. So the 3D is really something.

Check for the videos later (when I get wifi access)
